ARRIVAL ACTIVITY


Objective:

Player 10 (Attacker): Dribble to stop the ball on the yellow line.
Player 6 (Defender): Prevent Player 10 from reaching the yellow line. If they win the ball, dribble to the red line.
Setup:

Create a 10x20-yard area.
Mark a yellow line at one end and a red line at the other.
Player 10 starts at the red line with the ball, and Player 6 starts at the yellow line.
Instructions:

Attacker (Player 10) tries to dribble to the yellow line and stop the ball there.
Defender (Player 6) tries to stop them, and if they win the ball, they attempt to dribble it to the red line.
Reset after each attempt.
Scoring:

1 point for Player 10 if they stop the ball on the yellow line.
1 point for Player 6 if they win the ball and stop it on the red line.
Coaching Points:

Attacker: Use quick touches and feints to beat the defender.
Defender: Stay low, stay patient, and look for a clean tackle.

Main Activity

After the attack, the coach plays to the black team, who plays a 2v3 while the red team transitions to defend a mini-goal.

Small Sided Games

Objective:

Play a 6v6 small-sided game.
When a player scores, they must leave the pitch, run around the red pole, and re-enter. The team that conceded plays with an overload to quickly counterattack.
Setup:

Use a small-sided field for 6v6.
Mark a red pole for players to run around after scoring.
Instructions:

Gameplay: 6v6 small-sided game, where teams try to score.
After a Goal: The player who scores leaves the pitch, runs around the red pole, and re-enters.
Transition: The team that conceded now has an overload (6v5) to quickly counter and attack.
Coaching Points:

For the team that scored: Ensure quick recovery after scoring and re-entering the pitch.
For the team that conceded: Focus on fast attacking transitions, taking advantage of the overload.
