ARRIVAL ACTIVITY
Rules: Blues look to keep possesion and transfer ball to whites (below knee height), who replicate and try and play ball back to blue. If red team win ball, they score look to score on big goals.
Coaching Points: Quick switches of play, recognising when to play forward and break lines. Effective scanning, Recognising when to play 1/2 touch. Strong effective communication. Angles of support to ball ball carrier.
Progresseion: Team in possesion can you keep ball for 10 passes before transferring over.
Main Activity
Rules: Coach plays 9 who takes a touch around mannequin and takes a shot on goal., 9 then runs around mannequin to receive a cross from 7, who dribbles past manneqin to deliver cross, 9 then runs around mannequin again to recieve a cross from 11 who dribbles past mannequin.
Coaching Points: Effective Technique in both shooting and crossing. Timing of run to receive cross. Composure in both crossing and shooting.
Progression: Coach plays pass into 9 from opposite side. 7+2 combine with a 1-2 around mannequin to deliver cross. Vary type of cross - driven, hanging etc.
