Dribble and shoot race

Description: 3 team race to see who can get all of their balls in the net first, dribble around the pole to then shoot in small goal, not beyond the yellow cones, next player goes when previous player has got back in to their team line.

Focus on: dribbling skills - head up whilst dribbling, big touches to increase speed then smaller touches around pole, composure when passing into small goal, accuracy, control of the ball

Progression: have a player from each team go behind the goal and when first player dribbles up to pole he then must play a pass in the air to team mate who must keep it off ground and then play back to player who passed ball for a volley or header into the goal.

Atividade principal

4v2 Rondo to then break line and create a 1v1.

Description: 4 whites play against 2 reds in the designated area, whites after 3 passes can then break the line through a pass or a dribble to then go 1v1 against the red defender, defending the 2 small goals, to try and score, if defenders win ball they can score also in either goal.

Focus on: maintaining possession, creating angles for ball carrier, quick thinking, recognizing when to play 1 touch, composure when on ball, making the correct decision, showing disguise in passing or dribbling, attack the last defender at speed, show skill and disguise to beat defender.

Progression: in the 4v2 area, attacking team can score in the mini goals also if they reach 5 passes.

Conditioned SSG game, pitch dimensions: half a pitch long, width - 18 yard box.

Description: 3 zones, if score from 1st zone then 3 points, 2nd zone 2 points end zone 1 point. attacking and defensive midfielders are not allowed in the build up zone,

Focus on: build up- more points from build up and score! combination play, can we play through the thirds.

Progression: 3 points for scoring in end zone from a turnover, this encourages pressing and counter pressing.
